I find it offensive when people browse the shop with their phones ...
Are they checking for a better price?
Are they really incapable of choosing what to read without an on-line review?
Do they need the support of a friend?
It is a $7 book not a house. The financial and time commitment is low.
Go for it .... Live a little (and I do mean little.)
PS: The customer who prompted this post did tell me she was noting my recommendations on her phone .... didn't think of that.

Maybe I am a luddite, an old fart or just a jerk but the whole hand held electronic lifestyle seems to ugly to me. i understand the distraction but to do it while you shop, eat and whathaveyou seems more pathological than not.
